6 TIPS IN PLANNING YOUR FIRST EVER TRAVEL

ree

Remember when you first dream of traveling all over the world? Remember when you were only dreaming of all the places you want to go? Remember when you only imagined the taste of the food in each area? What if you can make that happen?

When traveling, there are many things we must consider: the location, money, availability, and the like. Being a freelancer gives us the luxury of time, which makes this perfect for people like me.

Trip planning can be exhausting. Where to start, what to do, what's next? It is overwhelming, especially given the fact that this is your first time.

So the real question, how can you enjoy your first every travel? If you want to learn more, continue this step-by-step guide I made.

1. Determine your WWH

The first thing to have a hassle-free trip is to plan your trip ahead. Decide where you want to go. Do you want to go around the country and discover all the wonders? Or you want to go to a different country and experience their culture? After deciding where to go, you have to identify your availability. Decide when you want to go traveling. Do you want it in a season where there are more likely to be fewer tourists? Or do you want it in a tourist season and meet new people along. Decide how long will your trip is going to be. Let's say you want to go to Hong Kong for five days or maybe stay in Spain for a week or perhaps you want to go to New York for a month.

2. Know your budget

Now, you have the where, when, and how. The next thing you want to do is to determine your travel cost. The budget is essential. You should always have a budget. You have to plan your expenses for you to know how much money you need to prepare for your upcoming trip. It also has to include your accommodations, meals, and other transportation.

3. Book ahead

ree

We all know that booking ahead saves you much cash. The farther the date is, the cheaper it's going to be. Plus, there are a lot of travel packages and deals you can avail if you plan. In line with this, you would want to book your accommodations ahead. There are applications in our smartphones that make booking easier nowadays. And if you like, a Virtual Assistant can help assist with your bookings.

4. Pack your essentials

When traveling, we wouldn't like paying for excess baggage. Pack only the things you need, such as your laptop, camera, chargers, extra batteries, extra pair of shoes, toiletries, clothes, and maybe a book. Packing like this could save a lot of space in your baggage.

5. Travel insurance

ree

Travel insurance, you might ask? Travel insurance is much more than just what we think it is. It is something you need on the road. You never know what might happen while you are traveling.

6. ENJOY your trip

The very last thing is to enjoy your trip finally. Do a last-minute check on all of the things stated above. Make sure you have your boarding pass and passport ready before heading to the airport. At this point, you might feel a little anxious, but don't worry about this, this is perfectly normal. A fantastic adventure awaits you.

By using this step-by-step list, no matter where, when, and how long your travel will be, I know for a fact that this list will help you plan and stay organized.

As a virtual assistant myself, I could use this list and make sure to leave nothing unchecked. I can say that being a virtual assistant is the best of both worlds. You can do what you love by doing what you love. I'm also looking forward to traveling anywhere while working.

I wish you luck and safe travels. And if you find this blog helpful, please comment below.
